Review Policy

I'm making changes to this page all the time. Please check my reading interests below before sending me a request for review or book in the mail. *****************************************

Updated September 12, 2014.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me (see the contact page).

For the time being, I'm unable to accept eBooks for review, especially those with a due date or expiration date.   I have a few that are outstanding and  I will be honoring those commitments (if I'm still able to read them and they haven't expired), but I won't be accepting any new ones.

The links to my reviews are automatically posted to Twitter and Facebook. If time permits, I also tweet the link mentioning the author's and publisher's Twitter IDs.

Once the reviews are posted, I email the publisher the link letting them know that the review is up and ready for them to read. At that time, I also let them know that I've posted the link on Twitter and have added the review to Goodreads.com.

Genres I'm interested in reading:
General Fiction
Historical Fiction (see exceptions below)
Cozy Mysteries
Mysteries
Thrillers

I'd also love to read and review some cookbooks. I will even make a few recipes from the book if requested or as time permits.

I also have a wide variety of other interests and read lots of different types of non-fiction.

Genres I'm NOT interesting in reading:
Historical Fiction that focuses on WWI, WWII or any war. Homefront stories are ok, but I'm not interested in reading about the missions or military personal.
Politics, especially American politics (I seem to get a lot request for these.  Why?)
Finance, especially American finance (I'm not American)
Horror
Romance
Young Adult/Vampire Books
Fantasy
Science Fiction
Children's Books
Self-Help

At the present time, I don't have time to answer all of the pitches I get for review books.  If you don't hear from me within a week of your email, it's probably because I'm not interested in the book.

I'm easily amused and pretty generous in my reviews. If I finish reading a book, I'm going to find something nice to say about it.

If you are a publisher, publicist or author and would like me to review a book, please contact me using the email link on my profile.

I don't sell the ARCs or review copies I get from authors/publishers (this includes the copy of "Red Snow" by Michael Slade.) I do, however, lend out these books occasionally.
